Food & Beverage Manager
Buffalo Bill Historical Center

The Buffalo Bill Historical is looking for a talented restaurant manager to manage the center’s food service.   The facilities include a cafeteria style grill, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in April to October and an expanded coffee bar, open similar hours year-round. This individual oversees and coordinates the planning, training, supervision and leadership necessary to achieve food service objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
 
The qualifications needed are:
  • A four year degree in hospitality management or a related field is desired.  A combination of education and experience comparable to a four year degree is acceptable.  Culinary and hospitality courses or equivalent experience are desired.
  • Must be 21 years old or older, due to liquor license requirements.
  • Must have a minimum of three years of food service management experience.
  • Strongly prefer a unit manager with profit and loss responsibility.
  • Have knowledge of food preparation and production, service and food and beverage experience with at least three years of front and back-of-the-house operations experience.
  • Strong software skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Must have the ability to put together basic spreadsheet analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
  • Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Have experience with inventory control and food cost management skills
  • Possess good math and analytical skills.  Have some POS system experience
  • The successful candidate must pass a criminal and employment background check.
